The Back Story…

The BMI Group

The BMI Group began by acquiring and revitalizing industrial and commercial properties across Ontario. As the portfolio expanded — mills, logistics hubs, energy assets, and legacy industrial sites — it became clear that keeping these assets operating required specialized, reliable, and safety-focused construction and maintenance support. Rather than relying on multiple outside contractors, the group built an internal, Canadian, multi-trade team that understood the realities of working inside active industrial environments and delivering upgrades without disrupting operations.

From the Group to BMI Industrial

That internal capability is what grew into BMI Industrial — a dedicated, turnkey, design-build, multi-trade contractor created to support the BMI Group’s own sites and major redevelopment projects. Because it was born inside an industrial property group, BMI Industrial was built to move quickly, coordinate engineering and construction under one accountable team, and maintain the documentation, safety, and quality systems required on large industrial projects.

From here, BMI Industrial operates as its own specialized company — providing engineering, construction, maintenance, and adaptive reuse solutions to industrial clients using the same standards it developed for the BMI Group’s assets.
